{insert catchy blog title:am sure there's an AI for that}

Playing with Pika Video generation AI Video Generation AIs are also getting, good. Video Generation AIs are making significant progress. I received an email on December 22nd, 2023, granting me access to Pika. Since it's the Christmas break season, and I had some free time on my hands, I thought, why not give it a try? It's important to note that these video generation AIs have only been around for a year, so there's still much room for growth and improvement. Currently, the generated videos are only three seconds long, but that limitation can be overcome with more resources, such as additional servers, increased processing power, and more data. The ability to create longer videos may come with an associated cost, as extended videos could be charged at a higher rate. However, this is a reasonable approach to manage resources effectively. Now, let's get to the exciting part.  That video was generated using the prompt: "A muscular raccoon bodybuilder in the gym, Unrea

My Bot on Poe https://poe.com/ConsultTheWord

  Before OpenAI's recently announced GPTs and Assistants, there was Quora's POE platform, which provided users with the ability to create their own bots and assistants. POE hosted a variety of AI models, allowing users to easily build their own bots using any of the available models. Initially, users had free access to models like Claude, Llama, GPT, and more. While these models are still available on POE, the most powerful ones are no longer free or have limited access. Earlier, somewhere at the start of the year, I gave it a try and created my own bot named "ConsultTheWord." The concept behind it was "Why only Read the Word when you can Consult The Word." The bot was designed to provide advice and solutions based on religious teachings. The AI model that powers my bot is Anthropic's Claude-instant. It's not the most powerful ( because it's free, lol ), but still works pretty well in my oponion, again for a free model. It's fascinating to se

How Humans Have Tried to Explain, formalize, and understand the World Around Them Over Time.

  How Humans Have Tried to Explain, formalize, and understand the World Around Them Over Time. "For much of human history, we were like the LLMs, figuring things out by matching patterns in our minds." - Stephen Wolfram Humans have been trying to understand the world around them for centuries. We have used a variety of models to explain the natural world, including structural models, mathematical models, computational models, and multicomputational models. All these, in my view, contribute to what we can collectively call Intelligence and kind of paint an interesting picture of human intelligence, how it has evolved over time, why it's different from other forms we see in the world, and why our attempt to model out intelligence is going to be an interesting journey to watch. Antiquity Structural models - It's all about what things are made of. They were developed in antiquity and are based on geometric elements. These models do not consider time explicitly and are ba

Tech Trends and Directions for 2024:

Lets dive straight into it. 1. The end of having to pound semicolons: It won't eliminate the coder; that's a crucial point. It simply shifts their focus to other tasks. When coders have more time to deliver value, they can allocate more time to innovate and create architectural advancements. Time spent on one task is time not spent on another. Instead of pounding semicolons, coders can devote their time to contemplating the next evolutionary addition or game-changing feature for their apps or products. As AI progresses and Copilots become more widely used, users will have more time to focus and accomplish tasks at a faster pace. Let's be realistic for a moment. Deep down, you know that the code monkey on your team is capable of so much more. They just lack the time and opportunity to explore those possibilities. Generative AI can provide them with that chance. We all know that more rapid innovation and creation benefits everyone. 2. More enterprise apps with their own (Gen)

The AIs won't take your jobs; other people will.

The AIs won't take your jobs; other people who use them will. Just like a doctor who knows how to use a computer will get picked over one who doesn't, the same goes for every sector, every field, every workplace. One's ability to use AIs will be an added advantage because these are powerful tools. But let's not forget that they're just that—tools. Not conscious beings that plot and plan and scheme to take over your job, lol. No, they are just tools.And just like any tool, having it in your back pocket and learning to use it gives you an advantage and ensures your genes survive. Picture when humans first discovered tools to cut things. Imagine the power and advantage that gave the people who used them versus those who didn't; for starters, they could cut up their meat now. Fast forward to the guys who discovered metallic tools, learned, and started using them; surely, it gave them an edge. From that came arrows and such that gave those who knew how to use power t
