My Un published Collision Conference 2024 notes.

AI was the buzz word of the week and the buzz word of the 2020s for that matter.

But unlike previous things like bitcoin or web3, This one took off, took off fast and has so many real world applications that are  already out and solving real world problems.

So just  familiarize yourself and more importantly your kids, your organization, your business with it and the tools around it.
Because it's not going anywhere.

A simple YouTube search is a good place to start. You don't have to  and can't know everything, just a little is enough.

And More importantly, use the tools.
Just like how the organization or person that  doesn't know how to use computers is at a disadvantage in this day and age, the organization that  doesn't know how to utilize these AI tools might be at a disadvantage in 2 or 3 years from now.. And playing catch never really plays out well.

Ask how your organization can utilize these tools to solve some of your problems or make your operations better.
It may not do it all now, or solve all your problems, but you have to start somewhere.
I've seen so many solutions out there, people are using them, they're working.  Try them out. It costs you nothing to try.
"The best day to start was yesterday, the next best day to start is today"

Nigeria is taking the lead on every world stage. And I mean EVERY.
Not just tech. I go to clubs and they'll play Nigerian music for hoursss like am in a bandali bar. and white people scream and sing along too. Afro beats is going nowhere.

I go to pitch sessions, incubators, startup funders and it's one Nigerian after another.

And I know you're thinking, yah it's Nigeria they're many and are big. That's where we're wrong.
Rwanda. Yes. Your small neighbor who you think is just a joke, is actually not far from Nigeria.
Just to give you perspective that it's a mindset and vision thing not a numbers or resources thing.

Am not overly political but I will say this, don't believe the lies you're being sold. We're behind not because we can't do it or are lacking certain things, we're behind because our leaders are keeping us behind. So vote wisely at your next election is all am going to say about that.

Luckily, Nigeria, Kenya, south Africa etc are not only putting themselves on the world map, They're putting AFRICA on the world map. The world is finally listening, the doors are open and anyone can come through.
Afro beats is not going anywhere, Just like how Jamaican music didn't go anywhere once it's doors opened. We should recognize that and find our way through the doors as well. Because Nigeria has opened those doors.

Same goes for tech and all other sectors.
They were more black oriented booths and inniatives than any other nation. Big ones, all looking to help blacks and fund projects and drives. Ask me for links if you're interested, I'd be more than glad to help. Just sign up, never know.

Now Are they helpful? , I don't know 🤷‍♂️. But having that many is a good sign. And we should find away to take advantage of that.

Alot of money is being thrown into the AI space and if us, our organizations, our schools and our leaders are doing nothing or are not even having the conversations. we will get left behind.
What can we do? 🤷‍♂️ I don't know. I don't have all the answers 😄
But recognizing that we should be doing something is a good start.

"Data is natural resource".
Just like how they take our cotton and process it and bring back as Zara or Gucci and we buy it more expensively, they are and will continue to take our data, process it and....

We need to start harnessing, processing, utilizing and training our data. No matter how small we start, we need to start.
Make sure your leaders, in whatever capacity , know about this. And that goes down to leaders at organizational levels. Your companys data is a resource.

We live in the information age incase you forget, not agricultural, not industrial. But the Information age. So remember that next time you're thinking about where and what to prioritize.
